Why UGmax should be used?

Soil fertility is the essential factor influencing directly the volume and quality of crops and the most important and decisive soil fertility aspect is the content of humus and nutrients.

Only the humus-rich soil provides the proper enviroment for taking full advantageof the plant, fertilizer and pesticide potential. The humus content depends, among others, on the content and type of soil microorganisms which transform the organic mass into humus and restore it's content in the soil. However, the humus content in soil has been decreasing for many years now.

Research carried out at the Bydgoszcz University of Technology Soil Science Chair in the years 2005-2007 confirmed decrease of humus content in soil.

The changes that have taken place in the agricultural production and in environment cause decay of the humus-producing microorganisms in soil.

Therefore, the crop residue, manure and particulary straw are more and more difficult to decompose and remain in the soil for years becoming a source of many diseases.

The use of nitrogen for speeding-up the straw decoposition does not increase the humus content in soil.

Decrease of the humus countent causes deterioration of the soil structure, which impairs water absorption, capillary ascent and storage, lowers pH, impairs the nutrient availability, and intensifies the nutrient washing-out. These are the main reasons of worse plant development and difficulties in increasing the cultivation effectiveness.

Additionally, the low-humus soil cultivation requires agrotechnically more complex and expensive treatment.

The low humus content soil gets lumped, is difficult to cultivate and makes the proper plant development impossible.

The use of UGmax inhibits the humus reduction process and restores the soil fertility. The preparation contains humus producing microorganisms which initiate effectively the soil organic mass decomposition. Straw ceases to be a problem and becomes a valuable source of humus and plant nutrients.

Content of durable and active humus in soil after three years of experimental use of UGmax for straw decomposition, with different levels of nitrogen fertilization, compared with control. Poznań University Agricultural Chemisrty Chair.

The use of UGmax for straw decomposition not only inhibited the humus degradation process but caused an increase of humus content and keeping it's high level regardless of the large nitrogen doses applied.
